Fuso Truck of America, Inc. (MFTA) is recalling certain 2024 FEC7K and FEC9K vehicles. Due to a control unit counter error, the vehicle may shut down unexpectedly, which can result in a loss of drive power.
Remedy
Dealers will reprogram vehicle control unit and instrument panel control unit, free of charge. None of the affected vehicles have been sold, so therefore no owner notification letters will be sent. Owners may contact MFTA customer service at 1-877-771-0707. MFTA’s number for this recall is C10126.

Description of Remedy Program : The vehicle control unit and instrument panel control unit will be
reprogrammed with software correcting the direct charging box sequential counter error. Dealers will be reimbursed via normal recall claim processes. How Remedy Component Differs from Recalled Component : Identify How/When Recall Condition was Corrected in Production : Recalled vehicles will have updated software reference numbers written into the ECUs. Dealers are instructed to confirm the reference numbers before reprogramming.
The vehicle control unit and instrument panel control unit will be reprogrammed with software correcting the direct charging box sequential counter error beginning February 16, 2024. Recall Schedule :
Description of Recall Schedule : Dealers will be notified today. Since there are no retail owners, there will
be no owner notification needed.
