DTC P0171 "System Too Lean" - 2004-2006 Mitsubishi Lancer

SUBJECT: DTC P0171 SYSTEM TOO LEAN	No: TSB-06-13-009

	MODEL: 2004-06 Lancer 2.0L

PURPOSE

The MIL may come on and DTC P0171 “System Too Lean” may set in the PCM. This condition may be due to vacuum leakage around a fuel injector insulator. To eliminate this condition, install a new, improved O-ring (listed in the PARTS INFORMATION section of this bulletin) on all fuel injectors. When installing the injectors, it is critical that there is no air leakage between the fuel injector and the insulator.
