Dear Mitsubishi Fuso Truck Owner:
This notice is sent to you In accordance with the requirements of the Motor Vehicle Safety Act.
Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America, Inc. has decided that a defect, INhich relates to motor vehicle safety, exists in the exhaust stud
tightening process on certain 2019-2021 Model Year FECZT (FE1 30), FECTT (FE160) and FEC9T (FE180) Mitsubishi Fuso
trucks. On certain trucks, the exhaust pipe studs and nuts may not have been properly tightened. As a result, the exhaust pipe
connection could loosen over time and create an exhaust leak in the engine compartment. An exhaust leak in the engine
compartment could damage components and create the risk of a fire. If you hear any abnormal exhaust noise, or if any engine
warning lamps turn on, Mitsubishi Fuso recommends that you should safely exit the roadway and shut the engine off.

The procedure will be completed at no cost to you when performed by an Authorized Dealer or Parts and Service Center. The
exhaust studs will be tightened to the proper specification and any damage resulting from loose studs will be repaired. The
scheduled time for repair is between approximately 1.5 hours.
Federal regulation requires that any vehicle lessor receiving this recall notice must forward a copy of this notice to the lessee
within ten days. If you are the lessor of the above referenced vehicle, please forward this notification immediately.
Note: If you have incurred costs to obtain a remedy for the problem addressed in this recall prior to initial notification, please
present the paid invoice to an Authorized Mitsubishi Fuso Dealer or Parts and Service Center. The Dealer/Parts & Service Center
will submit a warranty claim to MFTA on your behalf. Reimbursement of these costs should be expected within 30 da,ys of warranty
claim submittal.
