PURPOSE
On some affected vehicles, the low fuel warning light may not illuminate until after the fuel gauge reaches “E”. The warning light should illuminate when there is approximately 3.7 gallons of fuel remaining. The fuel gauge sending unit has been improved to eliminate this condition.
AFFECTED VEHICLES
1997-2003 Diamante models produced before 7/7/03
PROCEDURE

Check for normal operation of the fuel gauge sending unit. If it does not operate normally, replace the fuel tank pump and gauge assembly (listed in the PARTS INFORMATION section of this bulletin). Refer to Group 13 in the Diamante service manual.
Improved parts have a white mark located above the lower fuel warning thermistor.
