PURPOSE
Due to a vibration through the clutch hydraulic system, some vehicles may exhibit a slight buzzing or rattling type noise that seems to come from the steering column or instrument cluster area, or possibly the clutch pedal area. The noise typically occurs at 2500-3500 RPM between 50 to 75 mph. If a customer has a vehicle with the above condition, install a clutch damper kit as described in this bulletin.

When bleeding the hydraulic circuit connections, protect areas adjacent to the connections to prevent brake fluid contaminating the surface. Remember to completely clean up any residual brake fluid.
- Support the clutch hose connection bracket and torque the line at that location to 13-16 Nm. Then torque all remaining line fittings to 13-16 Nm.
- Reinstall the air intake duct, air cleaner box and intake tube. Then reconnect the air flow sensor.
- Reinstall the main harness attaching bolts and clamps.
- Reconnect the negative battery cable and reset the radio presets and clock.
- Road test the vehicle to confirm the noise has been eliminated.
