PROCEDURERevision

driver's seat is properly aligned
  1. Raise the seat to its highest position, and move it rearward to allow access to the cable.
  2. To determine if a drive cable is damaged internally, (some will not show external damage), hold it while operating the seat switch. It may be necessary to slightly flex the cable while the motor is operated. If the noise is dampened or eliminated, replace the cable.
  3. Before removing the drive cable, make sure that the driver’s seat is properly aligned, not angled to one side. The front edge of the driver’s seat should create a straight line when aligned with the front edge of the passenger’s seat.

NOTE: If the seat is not aligned prior to repair, it will not operate correctly after cable replacement.
